Requests for software to be added to Unitec computers/laptops need to be received several months before the beginning of each semester. For semester 1 the deadline is in October of the previous year. However exceptions may be made if the software is not restricted. IMS must test and verify that all software applications will work on Unitec computers and there are no compatibility issues with other software. Currently software applications are linked to specific sets of computers. This means not all computers are setup for all applications however specific builds can be provided where there is demand.
